New York/New York, our chapter newsletter, was first published in December, 1987, and has become one of the most popular chapter services. Published six times a year, the newsletter continues to win recognition at the newsletter competition sponsored by ALA Headquarters.

The goal of the newsletter is to provide members with high-quality, originally published articles containing practical information to assist administrators in performing their jobs more effectively and efficiently.

The newsletter is published free to all chapter members. As a courtesy, the newsletter is also distributed to the national and regional officers of ALA, other ALA newsletter editors, and the presidents of other chapters. Total circulation is approximately 700.

Members are encouraged to contribute articles that may benefit other members. Likewise, sponsors are invited to contribute articles of an educational nature. Anyone interested in contributing an article should contact the Editor. Vendors interested in advertising should contact the Advertising Manager for a media kit that includes a sample newsletter, advertising schedule, and ad specifications.
